We are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October the 8th to raise awareness of the amazing work done by our staff and incredible team of volunteers to bring the joy of reading to children and families in disadvantaged areas of London; and to raise funds so that we can keep doing what we’re doing and help even more children discover the magic of reading!
Led by our intrepid Head of Operations, Sandy, a team of 12 supporters of Doorstep Library, including staff from our Charity Partner Lloyd’s of London will be tackling the 13.1 mile course across some of London’s iconic Royal Parks. They’ve been training hard for months from all areas of London and the South East; some are excited, some are terrified and some are a little of both! But they are all united in their determination to complete the course and support our work. Huge, huge thanks to them all and we can’t wait to meet everyone on race day.
If you would like to support our efforts with a donation, you can donate through Sandy’s just giving page

Or come to Hyde Park on the 8th and cheer our team along – you can’t miss us in our distinctive Doorstep Tees! And it’s a great day out!
