To become a Doorstep Library reading volunteer, just follow these steps:

  1. Fill in the Application Form below to sign up as a reading volunteer.
  2. Interview: We get to know each new volunteer in a 30-minute online interview.
  3. DBS check & references: All volunteers must have an enhanced DBS check which we process free of charge. We’ll also ask for one professional and one personal referee.
  4. Training: Our specialised and engaging training includes a combination of pre-recorded videos and a live interactive training session.
