Freya is the Book Coordinator at Doorstep Library, and is in charge of ensuring we have a wide range of current and diverse titles for all of the children on our projects. She is especially passionate about books that portray underrepresented characters and stories.
She is also the Project Leader in Marylebone and Fulham Broadway.
Her passion for reading blossomed as a child and followed her into her studies in English Literature and Spanish at university. However, it was her previous role as a bookseller that reignited an interest in children’s literature and made her really appreciate the impact it plays in our lives. She hopes to be able to spread the joy that books have brought her over the years to many others!
Freya’s favourite children’s book is: ‘I Love You, Blue Kangaroo!’ and she was obsessed with all things Jacqueline Wilson as a child.
