Carol has 20 years’ experience in the charity sector, most recently at Age UK Richmond where she managed wellbeing and prevention programmes in the community. Prior to that she has worked at a UK disability charity and volunteered for an NGO working to bring about food sovereignty in sub-Saharan Africa.
Carol was drawn to Doorstep Library’s work because she’s convinced that childhood literacy is the silver bullet that can transform young lives. An obsessive reader, Carol is on a first-name basis with staff at her local public library! When she’s not reading, Carol enjoys open water swimming in icy lakes.
Her favourite children’s book is ‘Dogger’ by Shirley Hughes.
